WORK AND FAMILY STUDENT OUTLINE
The Work and Family curriculum is designed to help you examine your concerns, take reasoned action on the problems you face as adolescents and better prepare you for the future. The course focuses on concerns of middle school students, like you, who are making a lot of decisions that will affect you now and in the future. My goal for this semester is to help each student work towards becoming independent, responsible adults. Student participation is necessary and expected for this goal to become a reality. As you work in groups you will be expected to cooperate with all students in the group and Mrs. Daugherty. Because of the nature of the course, there is no assigned textbook and minimal amount of homework. However, daily work will be continually evaluated and graded and your attendance is extremely important. Your grade will be based on oral and written individual work, oral and written group work, tests, projects, homework and cooking labs.
